Eastern College Felt Pennant
Souvenir felt pennants are a great way to add a touch of vintage charm to your walls.
This pennant is a souvenir from Eastern College (now Eastern University) in St. Davids, PA. Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary was founded in 1925 to provide a theologically conservative seminary within the American Baptist Churches. In 1952 Eastern University became a separate institution and moved to its present St. Davids location, taking the name "Eastern Baptist College". In 1972, it was renamed "Eastern College". In 2001, the Pennsylvania Department of Education granted the institution "university status" and it was renamed Eastern University.
This pennant likely dates from sometime between 1972 when the college was renamed and 2001 when the college was granted university status.
