These items may not always be in perfect condition, but they're sure to satisfy your nostalgic yearnings and peak your sentimental curiosities.
This collectible "Santa Down Chimney" pewter ornament is from the Kirk Stieff Collection at Lenox. This Santa was adapted from a 1909 post card in the Warshaw Collection of Business Americana in the Archives Center of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History. There are many cards in this collection depicting Santa Claus in multiple poses, and this particular Santa is shown in the position most often associated with him, climbing down a chimney with a sack full of gifts.
The ornament doesn't appear to have ever been taken out of the box and is in excellent vintage condition. A card detailing the ornament's connection to the Smithsonian Institution is included.
