Vintage Association of American Railroads Educational Comics Rails Across America
Created on October 12, 1934, The Association of American Railroads, is an industry trade group representing primarily the major freight railroads of North America.
These educational comic books are part of a nine book series published between 1954-1960 by the Association of American Railroads School & College Services division. With illustrations by Bill Bunce, each 16 page booklet measures 7x10 inches and features an educational comic story about the U.S. railroads and their history.
Available titles currently include: 'Rails Across America' (1954), 'Ride the High Iron' (1955), 'The Wheel of Progress' (1957), 'Railroads Deliver the Goods' (1959), 'The Iron Horse Goes to War' (1960) and 'Salute to the Boy Scouts' (1960).
